ARAMEX Customs clearance notice for some countries

ARAMEX Kenya, Turkey, Saudi Arabia latest customs clearance regulations are as follows:

1. All goods to Kenya will be cleared by the Kenyan system (ICM). According to the new regulations, the goods with a value of 20-1000USD or a weight of 70KG or more will be detained by the customs for inspection, and the transit of the goods will be delayed. Therefore, it is necessary to confirm the accuracy of the invoice information and other information accompanying the goods before leaving the goods to avoid unnecessary delays.

2. Starting from February 1, due to the recent update of the IST customs clearance process and system, it is necessary to ensure that the HS code of the goods specified to Turkey (non-document) is entered in the Consignee Reference field 2 (" Consignee Reference Field 2 ") to accelerate the customs clearance process. For multiple commodity shipments, you must enter the HS code for each item. Failure to comply with the above provisions will lead to delays in customs clearance, and Customs reserves the right to refuse or confiscate the goods if any customs code is not provided.

3. According to Saudi Customs regulations, if the customs code on the invoice does not match the description of the goods, a fine of 5000 sar/bayan will be charged to the sender. For shipments containing multiple items, the HS code of each item must be filled in, so be sure to attach the invoice with the correct HS code.
